The Richardson Community Band led by conductor Robin Owens has performed my band and flute music in recent seasons.
On February 15, 2026 we premiered “The Road not Taken” inspired by the Robert Frost poem. Below I’m pictured with Robin
and associate conductor, Jane Chambers, who edited and prepared the program notes recalling the Frost poem and
the ambiance of the music inspired by a walk down a path in a “yellow wood”. The music included revolutionary and patriotic
passages derived from the New England home of Frost and my service with the USAF Band Washington, DC. A march trio
passage enhanced this sentiment and hurried the music along, followed my a serene pond, waterfall and conclusion to the music
of the path chosen.
